Video games are a collaborative effort of so many artists who try their best to give players a one-of-a-kind experience. They do this by creating never-before-seen worlds and environments.
However, there are times when these locations are directly taken or inspired from real life. Let's take a look at some of these awesome visitable places.

1.
Crew 2 - The popular Ubisoft racing game is known for being set in the entire USA. This means it gives people a sneak peek at what the United States is all about and all its epic locations. This also offers non-native players an urge to pack bags and travel to many areas and cities, be it Las Vegas or San Fransisco. However, my personal preference would be the Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah. The damn place looks like one of those Microsoft Windows wallpapers. -
2.
Spider-Man Miles Morales - The 2018's Spider-Man game and the PS5's Miles Morales is set in New York City. Being such a modern title, it's evident that many painstaking hours went into making this version of New York City realistic. One of those practical places is, Central Park. Rendering of this area is accurately done to include various lakes and open spaces that stick quite closely to the actual park. Besides the cities near-perfect recreation, there are a number of Marvel easter eggs hidden throughout the city. -
3.
Grand Theft Auto V - The fifth GTA game is still played religiously, and that's a testament to how detailed its map is. There are many places in-game that are absolutely stunning, be it the beaches or the hills. However, it's the Big Creek Bridge that stands apart. Set on the west side of the game, this bridge is as photogenic as it is jaw-dropping. In real life, it's the iconic Bixby Bridge in Monterey and it deserves your visit. -
4.
Shadow Of The Tomb Raider - This is a tricky one. The third game in the new Tomb Raider series is set in the lost World of Paititi, Peru. This is not the easiest place to visit. However, the beauty of this place is worth it. Peru tourism is worth experiencing for the sheer history of the area and breathtaking sceneries. -
5.
Assassin's Creed Unity - When AC Unity first came out, its glitches and performance overshadowed almost every part of the game. However, one thing that stood out was the beautiful open world. The game recreates Paris as no game has done before, and there are jaw-dropping sights such as Notre-Dame, the catacombs, the Palace of Versailles, the Louvre, and the Hotel de Ville. Luckily, visiting these iconic places isn't too out of the way for many. -
6.
Uncharted 4 - Being one of the best-looking games on PS4, it's natural the game captures its settings to the maximum. Set in beautiful Madagascar, this game can be a great reference point to what beholds at the actual place. People can truly experience the beautiful trees and landscapes only after visiting. -
7.
Infamous Second Son - The developer of the third main Infamous game is set in Seattle, which is also where the game takes place. This means that they have done their best to recreate the futuristic Space Needle, Seattle Center Monorail, Mt. Rainier, Lincoln's Towing Pink Toe Truck, and the Gum Wall. The fact that all these amazing places have a real-life counterpart makes them worth visiting. -
8.
Grand Theft Auto Vice City - It's been a while since this legendary GTA title was released, and yet it captures the world of Miami, unlike any other game. Vice City has a lot of places that are there in Miami and can be visited. Be it Miami's Star Island or the beachfront hotels; everything is worth it. Especially, the famous pink and orange sunsets, followed by a nightlife coated in neon lights. -
9.
Watch Dogs Legion and Assassin's Creed Syndicate - Set in London, both the games have many iconic landmarks that are realistically accurate. However, the one place that stands apart is the Big Ben Clocktower. This monument of history has a huge cultural significance, and people can only experience the sheer aura of this in London. -
10.
Fallout: New Vegas - One of the best Fallout games ever, Fallout: New Vegas is based on the real-world city of, ya you guessed it, Las Vegas. Being such a popular tourist point, it's obvious why this game's locations are worth revisiting in real life, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth visiting in-game as well. One must-see area is the Lake mead and Lake Las Vegas, both of which are in the main game. -
11.
Hitman 3 - Hitman 3 begins with a mission in Dubai in what is called the Burj Al-Ghazali, based on the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. As stunning as it looks, the Burj Al-Ghazali is nothing compared to visiting the real thing. But in getting all the way there is a problem, maybe the in-game version will do for now. -
12.
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - Set in Rome, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is considered one of the best Ezio adventures ever. The game's world is full of historical details and a beautifully crafted map for its time. And even though the plot is set in an ancient location, you can still visit many places featured in-game. One example of that is the Colosseum and Capitoline Hill. This game is so detailed, that after Notre-Dame caught fire a few years back, Ubisoft lent models and scans to the reconstruction teams, as they used them to 3-d render their game. -
13.
Forza Horizon 4 - Microsoft's best racing game is wonderfully crafted to bring Great Britain to life. With changing seasons and tons of historic landmarks, this is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Think driving through the British countryside from the comfort of your home, but with more expensive cars and no one to change your radio. Every main landmark in the game is a must-visit, especially the Bamburgh Castle in England. -
14.
Sleeping Dogs - Most Asian countries are full of rich heritage. The same can be said for Hong Kong. Sleeping Dogs is still a unique title because it is set in China. Everything from the Hong Kong markets to the Bank of China Tower is a sight to behold. -
15.
Far Cry 4 - The fourth entry in the game is indeed set in a fictional world. However, it is inspired heavily by Nepal and other real-life locations in the Himalayas. These breathtaking landscapes full of fog and mountains are the most surreal experience on planet earth and in-game. From shrines to calming temple bells, this place is truly for the ones seeking solace.
